Texas has been lining itself up to be an independent economy with an independent banking reserve for awhile now if you\u2019ve been paying any<\/strong> attention whatsoever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Datefa**ing has been ill advised on my part. I have been bracing for it every new fiscal year since October 2021, when I thought the whole thing was about to go tits up<\/strong> and sold my house while there was still an \u201cFHA\u201d to lend someone \u201cmoney\u201d to and get me out of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the SPVs I’m in has been sending me news and updates about “near shoring” since about then, they had sent out a newsletter that they were intending to start paying out dividends in dollars, and then retracted it. I remember scratching my head and going “wtf, I don’t want dollars.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fed\u2019s insolvent to where even if the IRS shook us upside down by our trousers and scooped up every single penny that fell out there still<\/strong> won\u2019t be a surplus left to post to the treasury and the treasury has just about enough \u201cmoney\u201d left to (maybe) last until the end of this FY, October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Texas sees the writing on the wall. I don’t think they’re just going to sit there and let you pull the rug out from underneath them and fuck them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future belongs to people who can figure their own problems out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I withhold further commentary about Texas and apologize for prior commentary about Ted Cruz. If I knew then<\/strong> what I know now<\/strong>, I don\u2019t speak for his office but I think that I , personally, would have rolled my eyes at current or former constituents who were concerned with \u201csaving the patient\u201d at some point and had my eyes on the road ahead so how can I say I\u2019m upset if that\u2019s how I\u2019d feel in his shoes today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll can sneer at me all you want about trusting experts or an endless well of free protease inhibitors or whatever – new HIV cases for 2023 alone are going to tack a quarter billion dollars a year on the tab and you\u2019ll be wishing you had Dr. \/pol\/ or some maga grandma on a \u201cQ\u201d message board to ask about your winter vagina whenever daddy government finally walks out on you. Do you have a plan other than being helpless and dependent and dying?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
