No sooner could we celebrate \u2014 Wisconsin had heavy representation in this game and we were about to proudly nail our license plates to the wall to show everyone \u2014 Lots of plates from Wisconsin \u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We were in for one more show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We were in a cafe now and an older woman was being rude to her customers, refusing service to some. At first we thought maybe she was racist or didn\u2019t like young people or \u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reactions are mixed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uncertain about how to handle this one I turned to someone and asked them \u201cwhat should we do?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The moral of the story:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wait awhile and observe her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is the same way to whoever comes in the door , whether it is one customer or 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So no, she isn\u2019t racist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or against young people<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or against the \u201cotherness\u201d in front of her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is just that way towards everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She falls down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People step back , stunned at what is happening right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Isn\u2019t this supposed to be over now?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is she dying?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What the \u2013 ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A man steps in to perform chest compressions and try to save her even though nobody liked her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Someone laughs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I say \u201cthat is not funny!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She dies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Poof she disappears through the wall leaving a tiny V shaped print with two tufts of hair, it almost looks like a tacky little string bikini on the wall, something vulgar, something \u2013 I don\u2019t know, vaginal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Someone chuckles and says , that must have been a tight fit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Poof, she comes back and she\u2019s laughing with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is okay now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No one is in trouble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We just needed to learn one more thing before we were on our way:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is okay to not know what to do about a situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is okay to ask someone what to do, if you don\u2019t know what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even better though if you step up and do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
